Citi is running a promotion for cardholders that's worth a few minutes of your time if you shop online. Spend $10 or more at a participating merchant using Paze at checkout and earn a $10 statement credit. Up to ten times, for a maximum of $100 back. The offer applies to Citi credit cards including the AAdvantage lineup.
The $10 minimum makes this an interesting way to get some heavy discounts - like nearly free Dominos pizza or free cosmetics from Sephora.
What Paze Is
Paze is a digital wallet - think of it as the banking industry's answer to Apple Pay or PayPal for online checkout. Instead of typing in your card number at checkout, you select Paze, it pulls in your eligible Citi card, and the transaction processes through that.
If you haven't used it before, setup takes a few minutes: you link the email or phone number on your Citi account, accept Paze terms, verify with a one-time code, and add your card. From there, look for the Paze button at participating merchant checkout pages.
The Participating Merchants
The offer works at a range of online retailers. Merchants currently listed include 1-800-Flowers, Dunkin', Domino's Pizza, Sephora, Fanatics, and Pay Range, among others. How to Make the Most of It
The offer is simple - 10 qualifying purchases at $10 or more each. You don't need to spend more than $10 per transaction to trigger the credit. If you were going to order Domino's anyway, or pick something up at Sephora, running those through Paze during the offer period gets you $10 back each time without changing what you spend.
The credits apply per eligible card in your Paze wallet, so if you have multiple Citi cards loaded, each card has its own $100 limit. Credits post within two statement cycles after the qualifying purchase.
The AAdvantage Card Angle
If you're holding a Citi/AAdvantage card - the Platinum Select, the Executive, or any other Citi/AAdvantage product - this offer applies to those cards. It's a statement credit rather than miles, which is a straight cash-back benefit rather than points earning, but $100 back on $100 of spending you were going to do anyway is a 100% return on those specific transactions. What this also means is that you can usually stack the offers with sites like AAdvantage Shopping to maximize your rewards.
