2025 in Review: My Flight Statistics by the Numbers
A data-driven look at my 2025 flying: total flights, distance, time in the air, airlines flown, countries visited, and delays.
Every frequent traveler has a sense of how much they fly. Few stop and quantify it.
Now apps like Flighty make this easier than ever.
Using tracked flight data from 2025, this post breaks the year down purely by the numbers. For a look at how I redeemed miles for these trips, check out my 2025 award redemptions.

Time Spent Flying (and Not Flying)
Time adds up quietly over a year.
- Total flight time: 151h 52m
- Equivalent to 6.3 days
- Just under one full week of the year
Of that:
- 135h 31m were spent in the air
- 16h 21m were spent taxiing
That taxi time alone is the equivalent of several medium-haul flights.
Airlines Flown in 2025
A total of 11 airlines were flown during the year.
By Number of Flights
- American Airlines: 16 flights
- Multiple other carriers: 2 flights each
- Several airlines: 1 flight
Top 3 By Distance Flown

It's no surprise that American led the way. Want to calculate how many Loyalty Points you'd earn on similar routes? Try our AAdvantage Calculator.
