United's Stars & Stripes America 250 Livery
United unveiled its Stars and Stripes livery on a 787-10 and 737-800 at Dulles on June 15. Here's the design and the tail numbers to track.
Two aircraft, one Stars and Stripes paint scheme, were unveiled yesterday at Dulles. United is also the first airline to put a 250th anniversary livery on a widebody.
United unveiled its America 250 livery this morning at Washington Dulles. They feature the "Stars and Stripes" design on a Boeing 787-10 and a Boeing 737-800, both painted at a facility in Texas. US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and United CEO Scott Kirby were both at Dulles for the event.
If you want to spot them, the tail numbers are N91007 for the 787-10 and N78285 for the 737-800.
The Design
The paint scheme runs largely blue across the fuselage, with diagonal red and white stripes across the rear section toward the tail and 50 white stars representing each US state.

The 787-10 will carry this across international routes all summer.

Everyone Has One Now
American and Southwest both have their own America 250 liveries in the air this summer. Southwest's Independence One has been flying since April. United joining the club isn't surprising - what's different is the widebody inclusion. That is going to get more attention than the special livery narrow bodies.
There's quite a bit of interesting aircraft flying this summer. It's worth keeping an eye out - in the sky and at the gate.
